SCI’s Leaders for Everyone’s Tomorrow (LET) commemorated the 2026 Woburn Kindness Day with a self-care reflection activity held at the Woburn Public Library Teen Room on March 18. During the event, youth participants designed a 5×5 bingo card with self-care goals to be achieved over the following 25 days.
A total of twenty teens participated in the activity. The objective was to provide a space for creativity and to encourage teens to prioritize their own well-being.
“One thing I didn’t realize I needed was this check-in,” shared a youth participant. “It gave me a meaningful opportunity to reflect on ways I can improve my self-care.”
Another participant remarked, “I learned helpful coping strategies and gained access to valuable mental health resources.”
This event marked the third annual Woburn Kindness Day, a city-wide celebration organized by the City of Woburn.
The LET Program actively engages local high school students in addressing peer mental health through the provision of resources, community events, educational workshops, and a youth-managed mental health website (middlesex4mentalhealth.org).
LET is a collaborative initiative of Social Capital Inc. and the Network for Social Justice (NFSJ). Major support for the program is provided by the Woburn Public Library Foundation, with additional support from The TJX Companies, Inc. and Winchester Hospital. Overall support for all SCI programs is generously provided by Cummings Properties.
